James "Tex" Plumley, Jr.

James “Tex” Plumley, Jr. is President and CEO of Billeaud Companies, one of Southwest Louisiana's largest office and retail property development / management firms.

A Louisiana State University graduate with an MBA degree, Plumley is well respected throughout the community and industry for achievement in both project management and business management. He has had an integral part in economic development of communities in the area for over 25 years. In 1998, he received the Southwest Economic Development Conference Volunteer of the Year Award.

He is a Board member and Past Chairman of the Lafayette Economic Development Authority, Chairman for the Broussard Economic Development Corporation, and State-Elect Chairman for Ducks Unlimited. In addition, he serves on the boards for the Louisiana Capital Development Corporation and the Broussard Environmental Service and Enhancement District.
