Allan Kanner

Allan Kanner is the founder and senior member of Kanner and Whiteley, LLC, a national law firm headquartered in New Orleans. His experience includes litigation of complex class-action lawsuits, and he practices in the areas of environmental, toxic tort, commercial litigation and consumer fraud.

A native of Vineland, New Jersey, Kanner received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania and law degree from Harvard Law School. He serves as an adjunct professor at Tulane University Law School, visiting lecturer in law at the University of California at Berkeley and Yale Law School, visiting senior lecturer at Duke University and visiting professor at the University of Texas Law School. He also is the author of two books and more than 80 scholarly articles.

He serves on a number of community state and national boards, including the Louisiana Association for Justice, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art and The Sedona Conference, a research and educational institute dedicated to the advanced study of law and policy in the areas of antitrust law, complex litigation and intellectual property rights.

Mr. Kanner holds the top Martindale-Hubbell rating. Chambers and Partners said, "Allan Kanner of Kanner & Whiteley, LLC enjoys a sterling reputation for plaintiff-side representation in toxic tort trials." He has also been selected as a Louisiana Super Lawyer (2007-2010) (Business Litigation).
